ManageFlitter is profitable and growing fast. ManageFlitter is headquartered in Sydney and with customer support based in the United States. We are looking for someone with outstanding technical experience and a preference for working with a small smart team to join us in the role of Backend System Engineer. This is a new position that has come about as a result of our growth. You will be working with our technical team on a wide range of technical projects that will include building, maintaining and improving our backend systems. Some of your technical responsibilities will include backend components of new feature implementation, existing codebase support and refactoring, focusing on high availability, scalability and performance. - Work on a very large technology platform that performs complex, high volume operations and serves a large number of people – over 30 000 daily active users.
- We believe in using the right tool for the job. We are continually testing and evaluating new technologies. We’re currently working with the LAMP stack, native Android mobile, Reactjs, Nodejs + Koa, Docker, Semantic UI among others.
- You will be working extensively with the ManageFlitter database of Twitter users which is one of the largest databases of Twitter users outside of Twitter.
- The CEO and team are always very open to fresh ideas and there is no hard line management hierarchy.
- There is no formal dress code.
- Meetings are kept to an absolute minimum.
- We follow our own development methodology which is highly influenced by agile methodology but we’re not dogmatic about our internal project management structures.

- Whilst we prefer for this role to be based in our Sydney offices we are open for this role to be based anywhere in Australia (limiting the role to Australia assists with time zone compatibility and ability to organise regular face to face team meetings)
