About the Job
As an SDE-1, you will work on building and maintaining backend systems that are scalable, reliable, and production-ready. This is a hands-on coding role, where you’ll contribute to solving real-world engineering problems and shipping high-quality systems.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain backend services in Golang
- Write clean, efficient, and production-quality code with guidance from senior engineers
- Solve structured problems using data structures and algorithms
- Work on implementing features end-to-end with support from the team
- Debug issues, fix bugs, and support production systems
- Improve existing systems for better performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features
Must-haves
- 1–2 years of backend engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in data structures & algorithms
- Hands-on experience in Golang (or strong willingness to learn quickly)
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Basic understanding of backend systems (APIs, services, databases)
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with existing codebases and learn quickly
- Understanding of edge cases and system reliability
Nice to have
- Exposure to production systems
- Familiarity with debugging, logging, and monitoring tools
- Understanding of basic system design concepts
Employment Details
- This role will be on a third-party payroll
- This is a 6-month contract role
