Piton Labs is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who can contribute across multiple layers of the software development stack, with a strong preference for candidates who excel in backend development. You must have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Experience in startup environments—whether through personal projects or having worked at an early-stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates based in time zones between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, though we may consider other situations case by case.

**Responsibilities and Technologies**
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and established organizations to solve their most challenging technical problems. You’ll operate in an environment with high uncertainty and high complexity, helping clients build products by focusing on what truly needs to be built. Instead of following a fixed list of tasks, you’ll help set priorities and concentrate on the problems that matter most to our clients.

We don’t require a specific tech stack, but most client projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically use AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients may use other providers. You should have at least five years of experience in one or more large-scale web development environments, including relational databases and modern frontend frameworks. Familiarity with our preferred tools is beneficial, but not required. You must consistently deliver reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:
– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and developing a serverless API layer for a new web product
– Creating and provisioning cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools
– Presenting new features to client stakeholders

You’re autonomous and genuinely motivated to build software. You enjoy solving problems and continuously improving your technical skills. Key qualities include:

– Secondary preference for candidates from Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
– The role requires daily availability for 4–6 hours during US East Coast time
