Pitón Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (full-time). We’re looking for someone who can work across different layers of the development stack, with a strong preference for candidates who are especially strong in backend development. You should have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Prior exposure to startup environments—through personal projects or by working at an early-stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located in time zones between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, though we may consider other cases individually.

### Responsibilities and technologies
At Pitón Labs, you’ll work with both startups and established organizations to tackle their most challenging technical problems. You’ll operate in a high-uncertainty, high-complexity software development environment, helping clients build the products they truly need. Instead of following a predefined task list, you’ll help set priorities and focus on solving the most important problems for our clients.

We’re not tied to a specific tech stack, but most client projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically rely on AWS for cloud infrastructure, although some clients use other providers. You must have at least five years of experience in one or more environments for large-scale web application development, including relational databases and modern frontend frameworks. Knowing our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You must also be able to consistently write reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:
– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and developing a serverless API layer for a new web product
– Creating and provisioning cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools
– Presenting new features to client stakeholders
