What this job’s about

Typically, our backend developers spend their days assigned to small team working on a specific customer project (e.g. mobile platform integration Railpocketfor Dutch Railways) or on a generic product (e.g. routing optimization engine for DHL). Developers mostly work with JEE platforms (think JBoss, GlassFish or similar), or OSGi containers (think Felix, Karaf, ServiceMix, etc.) that sit behind our cloud infrastructures. On top of that, there are non-standard assignments from time to time to keep your thinking fresh.

How our teams operate

We breathe, eat and drink agile in general, and Scrum in particular (although there is Kanban work as well). We have certified scrum masters constantly on the lookout for improvements. Our developers are deeply involved in technical details, but we encourage them to build a good understanding of customer’s needs and business processes. It’s not uncommon to see a developer showing a customer how to make an improvement to an existing practice. We value deep technical skills and broad expertise which both contribute to a fruitful cooperation with our teams and customers.
