Piton Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (full-time). We’re looking for someone who can work across different levels of the development team, with a strong preference for candidates who excel in backend development. You must have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Prior experience in startup environments—either through your own projects or by working at an early-stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located in time zones between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, but we can consider other cases on an individual basis.

**Responsibilities and Technologies**

At Piton Labs, you work with both startups and established organizations to tackle their most challenging technical problems. You’ll operate in an environment characterized by high uncertainty and high complexity in software development, helping customers build their products by focusing on what truly needs to be built. Instead of following a predefined task list, you help set priorities and concentrate on the most important issues for our customers.

We’re not tied to a fixed technology stack, but most customer projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. For cloud infrastructure, we typically use AWS, though some customers use other providers. You should have at least five years of experience developing web applications in one or more major environments, including relational databases and modern frontend frameworks. Familiarity with our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You must also be able to consistently write reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:

• Developing demanding user interfaces for web or mobile apps
• Designing and building a service-free API layer for a new web product
• Creating and deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Presenting new features to customer stakeholders

**Remote Work Policy**

• Our team is fully remote; we don’t have a physical office
• We prefer candidates based in the United States with legal permission to work there
• Second priority for candidates in Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
• The role requires daily availability for 4–6 hours during US Eastern Time
