FINDMINE is seeking a Back-end Developer with a strong ability for problem solving and an obsession with leading edge technologies, someone who does things in the most efficient, accurate way possible. But really, just be smart, cool, and normal and we’ll get along great! Also helpful if you shop online and think it’s a hot mess, like making machines do what was once the territory of only humans (and will have a sense of humor about it in 20 years when we’re slaves to the machines we built), and enjoy flexibility, ambiguity, and fun.

Skills & Requirements

• 3+ years experience using Python, C/C++, Unix Systems
• Understanding and applied use of machine learning models
• Understanding and applied use of SQL databases
• Experience building and consuming RESTful web services
• Familiarity with Django or Flask
• Write quality code and be responsible for finding the best approaches possible, optimizing, and fixing bugs, etc.
• Be really bothered by bad or inefficient code. Like it should haunt your dreams.
• Work collaboratively with product team. Be familiar with Agile development but also be able to work sporadically and without a lot of hand holding
• Want to keep learning – whether that means more in your field or in machine learning, business development, product management, etc. Just be really curious and interested in stuff
