Title: Professional Services Delivery Engineer III – IN
Role: AWS DevOps Engineer III
Experience: 5–10 years
Skills: AWS products and services, compute, storage, security, and networking; DevOps with Terraform/IaC, including CI/CD practices, and Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate deployments using custom templates and modules for customer environments on AWS.
- Design AWS environment best practices and deployment approaches.
- Create automation tools and processes to enhance day-to-day operations.
- Advise customers on AWS and Rackspace best practices and architectures.
- Maintain control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment for enterprise workload/workforce management and optimization tasks.
- Support Rackers across the Cloud Functions.
Technical Expertise:
- Experienced in solutioning and implementing greenfield projects using IaaS and PaaS for primary and disaster recovery sites.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS products and services, including compute, storage, security, and networking.
- Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, Linux, or shell scripting.
- Proficient with Git and Git workflows.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems, including support and troubleshooting/performance.
- Advanced skills in Terraform/IaC, including CI/CD practices.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience designing, building, implementing, analyzing, migrating, and troubleshooting highly available systems.
- Knowledge of at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
- Understanding of hosting services and protocols, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting for web servers, databases, caching, and related database services.
- Knowledge of current and emerging network software/hardware technologies and protocols.
Skills:
- Passionate about technology and motivated to continuously expand technical knowledge.
- Detail-oriented when documenting information and able to take ownership of customer issues through resolution.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing under pressure.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to communicate technical issues to both non-technical and technical stakeholders.
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
Certifications:
- Requires AWS associate-level certifications or an equivalent professional-level certificate.
