Piton Labs is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who can work across the entire stack, with a strong preference for candidates who are especially solid in backend development. Deep experience with cloud infrastructure is required. Prior experience with startups—through personal projects or by working at early-stage companies—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, though we may consider other situations on a case-by-case basis.

## Responsibilities and Technologies
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and large organizations to solve complex technical challenges. You’ll help clients navigate the uncertainty and complexity of building software by supporting them as they develop their products and clarifying what truly needs to be built. Rather than simply executing predefined tasks, you’ll help set priorities and focus on the problems that matter most to our clients.

We don’t follow a single required technology stack, but most projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically use AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients may use other providers. You must have at least five years of experience building reliable application software, including relational databases and modern frontend frameworks. Familiarity with our preferred tools is helpful, but not required. You should consistently deliver well-tested, dependable code.

A typical week may include:
– Designing advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Building and developing a serverless API layer for a new web product
– Building and provisioning cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools
– Presenting new features to client-side stakeholders
