Piton Labs hires a Full-Time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who can work across different layers of the technology stack (full stack), with a strong preference for candidates with exceptional backend skills. This role requires extensive experience with cloud infrastructure. Experience at startups—whether through personal projects or working at early-stage companies—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates in the GMT‑8 to GMT‑3 range (US West Coast to GMT‑3), though we may consider other cases individually.

## Responsibilities and Technologies
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and large organizations to solve complex technical challenges. You’ll help clients navigate the uncertainty and complexity that comes with building software—supporting them in developing their products and clarifying what actually needs to be built. Rather than only executing predefined tasks, you’ll help set priorities and focus on the most important problems for our clients.

We don’t require one specific technology stack, but most projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. For cloud infrastructure, we typically use AWS, though some clients may use other providers. You must have at least five years of experience building robust application stacks, working with relational databases, and using modern frontend frameworks. Familiarity with our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You must consistently be able to deliver reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:
– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Creating and developing a service API layer (serverless) for a new web product
– Building and provisioning cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
– Delivering new features to the client’s stakeholders

## Remote Work Policy
– Our team is fully remote and we don’t keep a physical office
– We prefer candidates based in the United States who have legal authorization to work
– Secondary preference for candidates from Canada or Uruguay or Paraguay
– The role requires 4–6 hours per day of overlap with US Eastern Time
