Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the architecture, requirements, and interfaces of the entire Avionics hardware suite that includes the autopilot system, power control, motors, servos, air data system, communication, transponder, and ground control system.
- Perform subsystem-level and system-level integration and test
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and anomaly investigation
- Work with supplier to ensure timely subsystem deliveries and work products deliveries
- Write scripts and software to automate testing and analyze data for performance -assessment (stress testing, trade studies, mission analysis)
- Run end-to-end hardware-in-the-loop testing and simulation -Support flight testing
Requirements B. S.or M. S. in technical discipline and with experience in the aircraft avionics design, development, integration, and test Knowledge of inertial measurement unit, GPS, air data, and altimeter systems Knowledge of power system, motor, servo, and communication system Experience in Avionics end-to-end integration and test Experience in aircraft flight test and operation from take-off to landing, preferably for unmanned aircraft Experience in Failure Mode and Effect Test and knowledge of system failure detection, isolation, and reconfiguration Knowledge of MATLAB, C/C++ Be flexible, open minded and work well under pressure Energy and drive to work in a startup-like environment and a team player Strong verbal and written communication skills Detailed oriented and careful with rapid execution in a fast paced environment A minimum of 7+ years of experience in (unmanned) aircraft Avionics system design and integration
