We are seeking a 3D Artist to join the Jam City Narrative Game division and contribute to a new game in development. In this role, you will deliver high‑quality 3D art by modeling and texturing props, environments, and characters, and by implementing these assets in the game engine.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce top-quality modeling and texturing work.
• Create polished, optimized 3D environments, props, and characters.
• Collaborate with the Art Lead and Art Director to define and maintain the visual style of the project.
• Diagnose and fix visual issues involving in‑game assets and character interactions with environments.
• Identify and improve pipeline efficiencies to ensure assets are produced as effectively as possible.
• Communicate with the Lead Artist, Art Director, Producers, and other project leads regarding tasks and deadlines.
• Resolve both artistic and technical challenges during development.
• Occasionally assist the tech art team with basic rigging and skinning tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
• At least 3 years of 3D game development experience.
• Experience completing at least one full 3D game project.
• Expert knowledge of Maya and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of rendering and real‑time shader development.
• Experience with Substance Painter and PBR materials.
• Ability to work across a wide variety of subjects and artistic styles.
• Strong understanding of both environment and character art workflows.
• Solid knowledge of human and animal anatomy.
• Excellent grasp of composition, color, value, and form as applied to traditional art and game visuals.
• Thorough understanding of the 3D game development pipeline and experience collaborating with engineering and design teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Art degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working with Unity.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
NICE TO HAVE
• Strong 2D concept art and illustration abilities.
• Rigging experience in Maya.
• Maya scripting skills (Mel or Python).
• Experience creating shaders with shader graph tools.
• Knowledge of Substance Designer.
• Experience using ZBrush.
