Nasdaq Global Technology Services (GTS) is committed to maintaining Nasdaq’s technology leadership position by developing and delivering innovative, cost efficient and short time-to-market technology solutions to our business partners and customers around the world. A key responsibility for the Operations Support EU team is to operate several of Europe’s fastest and largest trading and clearing solutions. These are complex systems with very high quality requirements, and Nasdaq is now looking to add highly skilled Application Engineers to the team. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join the world’s leading exchange company Nasdaq; growing professionally and intellectually while working at the forefront of finance and technology.

Reporting to the System Operations Director, you will belong to an international team that designs, plans, builds, tests and implements new technical solutions. Your main responsibility will be to ensure 100% uptime on the trading and clearing system as well as making sure that Nasdaq always delivers within the SLA agreements. You will take the lead role in Major Incidents at exchanges that need immediate attention. In order to solve upcoming issues, you will collaborate closely with other internal teams (e.g. development, project management, system management teams) on a global scale. The team provides support 24 hours 7 days a week, and as part of the second line support you will be on call for any unresolved issues on a rotating schedule. Furthermore, you will be involved in internal projects, configuring, installing, maintaining and upgrading the trading and clearing application as well as plan and execute failover- and performance testing.
