As a part of our growing startup, you will play an integral part in enhancing the technical foundation of our product creating the client-side application code that will provide our customers with a world-class user experience. As a Front-End Engineer, you will be contributing towards many externally facing parts of our platform, so attention to detail is required.
Responsibilities Work closely with existing UX/UI architecture and engineering team to implement state-of-the-art front-end solutions in the big data industry. Tasks could include:
- Create and update responsive SPAs
- Add and implement D3 or other charting tools
- Create a graphical interface for building queries
- Enhancing security/permissions across all applications
- Maintain and enhance developer portal / APIs
- Consume backend data via REST APIs
- Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices in order to push the limits of what a browser can do
- Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team
- Teach your expertise to others on the team
Requirements -2-5+ years of experience building complex, high scale web applications -Deep expertise in JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, and related web technologies -Considerable experience with Angular, Bootstrap, Java -Experience with some or all of: D3, GWT, jQuery -Strong sense of UX/UI design and understanding of responsive design
- Strong data skills: loading, transforming, joining, querying (SQL)
