Blockstack is looking for developers to participate in App Mining, a program that pays developers to build decentralized applications on Blockstack. This is a fully remote and independent position, you have complete creative control over your application and development schedule. There is a monthly deadline to submit your application to be eligible for that month’s payout and there is no limit to how many months you are eligible, we hope you’ll partake in these monthly payouts indefinitely.

Developers are paid out of a growing pool of Bitcoin according to their rank as determined by independent App Reviewers including Product Hunt and Democracy Earth. December’s App Mining run will award the top ranked app $20,000 USD(paid in Bitcoin) and all other submissions receive payment equivalent to 80% of the total paid to the app in front of them in the ranking. [$20,000, $16,000, $12,800, etc.] The total payment pool will grow on a regular basis, in the first round of payments there were 17 eligible apps. It’s still very early in the world of dapps – earning near the top of the list is more than possible with a very early stage application.

Submitting existing apps to the program is allowed provided integration with Blockstack is added and fully functional before ranking begins.

Requirements

Familiarity with a frontend language such as Javascript or React is all that’s needed to build on Blockstack.
