This position is for U.S. -based candidates that are seeking full-time employment.
Savvy Apps is a top app agency with our headquarters just outside of Washington, D. C. We’ve been working remotely though since 2009 before remote was really a thing. We rely on tools like Trello, Quip, and Slack (for both text and video chat) to collaborate across timezones. You’ll also be pleased to know, we don’t use JIRA.
We are considered a trusted partner by national brands & high-profile startups and our work is regularly featured in the industry. We have a great culture, generous benefits, and a fun, yet professional atmosphere.
COME DO THE BEST WORK OF YOUR CAREER
Join a team where producing quality work is our primary concern. You’ll spend almost of all of your time doing what you enjoy: writing code! If you find meetings, management buy-in, office politics, and documentation to justify decisions a drag, then you’ll fit in perfectly at Savvy.
We enjoy the specialization of our crafts. You’ll collaborate with team members from the product, UX, and visual design groups to create clear mockups and spiffy user interfaces—pushed to Zeplin—instead of long spec docs. To complement our own work, we leverage popular frameworks like OkHttp, Moshi, and Glide to speed development and create clean, maintainable and testable code. We also expect you to be ecstatic to have access to the Material Design documentation and always think—and fight for!—the end user.
Additional bonus points if you’re able to help drive Android forward in the industry. For example, Savvy advocated for Kotlin well before it was commonplace and also has open-sourced Android frameworks.
PERKSWE GOT ‘EM
You’ll get an amazing workstation and anything else you need for your home office. We have great health, dental, and vision plans. We also have a generous 401k plan; you’ll get 3% of your salary contributed by us, regardless if you contribute yourself and immediately be eligible for profit sharing. We observe nine federal holidays in addition to your standard vacation time. And the last number of years, we’ve closed the entire final week of the yearon us.
