Compose is growing. To help keep things humming as we scale, we have developed anchor positions. In an anchor role, you will become the invigilator of one of our database teams. At Compose, we offer databases-as-a-service. You can deploy production grade databases with automatic fail-over, redundancy, security optimizations, and more. As a database Anchor Engineer, you will organize priorities, plan, research and architect nifty features, and ensure that the offering you choose remains as one of our strongest and most up to date offerings. We need Anchors for: MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and RethinkDB.

If you are the sort of person that is comfortable in a position of leadership and has experience building beautiful and functional products at scale, we have an opportunity for you. We are a remote first company – strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. A calm and stabilizing operational style and warm levels of emotional intelligence will aid you when interfacing with both internal and external teams. Anchor roles are deeply important – you are the nucleus in the midst of a fantastic team of people working towards bringing your database of choice to greatness.
