About the Role:

We’re partnering with an innovative early-stage company revolutionizing pet health through smart, connected technology. Their product is a next-generation collar-mounted device that leverages IoT and AI to monitor pet activity, wellness, and location in real-time — helping both pet parents and veterinarians take proactive care decisions.

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Firmware team. If you’re passionate about low-level development and excited to shape the future of pet tech, this role is for you.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in firmware development for IoT devices
• 3+ years experience with BLE modules from Nordic:
• Experience with both nRF5 SDK 17.1.0 and nRF Connect SDK 3.1.1
• Power optimization for battery-powered devices
• Experience implementing SPI, I2C and UART on NRF devices
• 3+ years experience with ESP32S3 and/or ESP32C6
• Experience implementing power optimization techniques (ULP, deep/light/modem sleep)
• Extensive usage of WiFi and BLE on ESP devices for IoT applications, using protocols like MQTT, CoAP, HTTP and LwM2M
• 3+ years experience with LTE-M/NB-IoT modules from Quectel and U-blox/Trasna
• Experience optimizing for different power optimzations like PSM and eDRX
• Experience with IoT protocols over LTE-M (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP and LwM2M)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other common MCUs (STM32, NXP LPC, PIC, AVR)
• Experience with GNSS technologies
• Experience with MEMS-based sensing technologies
