The Program Manager will oversee project delivery and task coordination for the Portfolio Marketing team using Agile practices. This position ensures smooth collaboration with internal teams and external partners through structured project management, administration of the Monday.com platform, and ongoing process improvement. The Program Manager will drive strategic initiatives by managing day‑to‑day project workflows, helping the creative team focus on high‑value content development while maintaining strong operational performance across all portfolio marketing efforts.
This role can be based anywhere in the U.S. for remote work or out of the Bethesda, MD office.
Primary Duties:
Agile Project Management:
• Lead and maintain Agile/Scrum processes for all Portfolio Marketing projects and cross‑team efforts.
• Run daily standups, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives to support progress and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate project activities across internal teams (messaging, analytics, offers, creative) and with external partners (agencies, freelancers).
• Track progress using Agile measurements and address obstacles to keep projects on schedule and at high quality.
Monday.com Platform Management:
• Manage the Monday.com workspace for the Portfolio Marketing team, ensuring accurate tracking, resource planning, and visibility for stakeholders.
• Train team members and partners on effective Monday.com usage, workflows, and optimization methods.
• Build and maintain templates, automation rules, and reporting dashboards for leadership.
• Integrate agencies and freelancers into Monday.com workflows to ensure smooth collaboration and project transitions.
Process Coordination and SOP Development:
• Help create and roll out standard operating procedures for workflows, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.
• Coordinate consistent communication between the Portfolio Marketing team and cross‑functional groups like sales, partnerships, and events.
• Manage operational calendars and timelines, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned on priorities and deadlines.
• Support process improvement efforts to boost efficiency, remove bottlenecks, and improve project outcomes.
Communication and Reporting:
• Prepare routine project updates, capacity reports, and performance metrics for leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead alignment meetings, updates, and communications for cross‑functional initiatives.
• Track team performance metrics and provide data‑based recommendations for optimizing capacity and workflows.
• Support strategic initiatives by maintaining organized documentation and consistent communication processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Operations, or a related area.
• Three to five years of experience in project management, program coordination, or operations with proven success.
• Required: Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or similar) or demonstrated success managing Agile projects.
• Required: Advanced experience with Monday.com or extensive hands‑on experience with comparable project platforms (Asana, Wrike, Basecamp, Jira).
• Strong organizational and communication abilities, with excellent attention to detail and the capacity to manage several projects at once.
• Experience coordinating projects across various teams and external partners in fast‑paced environments.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience in marketing, creative, or content‑production project management.
• Background working with agencies, vendors, or external creative production teams.
• Understanding of marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and creative production timelines.
• Knowledge of content development processes and cross‑functional marketing operations.
• Experience working with remote teams and digital collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with resource planning, capacity management, and team performance improvement.
Physical Requirements:
• Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer; occasional walking and lifting as needed.
