Accounting Advisory Overview:
BPM’s Business & Outsourcing Services team provides comprehensive financial and business advisory services to private, owner-run companies, including family-owned businesses and start-ups. We do this by providing outsource accounting services, cash flow modeling, financial reporting. We also represent companies in securing loans and financing, develop succession plans and exit strategies, and support company growth through tax planning, risk management, system and processes optimization and merger and acquisition integration.
In addition, as part of the Advisory Service Line, our Business Enterprise Services Team (BEST) works with clients on their ERP system implementation needs, introducing and utilizing technology, to streamline their accounting processes and procedures.
You Have (Requirements)
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, MIS or Information Systems degree (Accounting preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- 1 to 2 years of accounting, accounts receivable or bookkeeping experience (personal assistant, executive assistant experience may be considered comparable).
- Familiar with Microsoft Office; QuickBooks, Bill.com, Xero, Expensify, Concur, NetSuite and Sage Intacct experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, problem solver & intellectually curious
- An understanding of professional services and a commitment to the client experience
- Outstanding organization skills and the ability to utilize a wide range of accounting and internal administrative technologies
- The ability to communicate both verbally and written (via text, and email) in a sincere, concise, and professional manner.
- The desire to be a team player but be able to work independently with a solution-oriented approach
- Adhere to the highest level of confidentiality
You Will (Responsibilities)
- Accounts payable (utilizing https://www.bill.com, cutting paper checks, filling out wire forms)
- Research and resolve issues or discrepancies with clients’ accounts, bill pay or invoices
- Respond to client requests and inquiries
- Manage vendor relationships, requests, and payments
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Perform monthly reconciliations of client bank accounts and credit cards
- GAAP Accounting
- Journal entries and Accrual Accounting
- Preparation of financial reporting packages
- Participate in special projects as needed
