We’re looking for an outstanding Policy Specialist to join our growing Trust & Safety team. In this role within the Monetized Policy team, you’ll help shape, enforce, and communicate our approach to advertising and monetization policy—affecting users, creators, and advertisers across music, podcasts, and user-generated content.

You’ll lead cross-functional efforts to improve our policies and strengthen Spotify’s advertising and monetization products. Working with different teams, you’ll align on priorities and deliver innovative solutions to address emerging online issues. You’re a strong problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can bring clarity to ambiguous situations, and can drive alignment across teams to deliver results.

This position is based in New York City, Los Angeles, or remotely within the United States.

### What You’ll Do
– Research, draft, implement, and continuously improve our advertising and monetization policies.
– Support operations and enforcement teams by investigating potentially policy-violating content.
– Perform risk assessments and identify key policy concerns and online safety trends in advertising and monetization.
– Help shape the priorities and direction of cross-functional stakeholders across policy, enforcement, and product safety.
– Contribute to model development, ground truth work, and ongoing refinements.
– Review and provide feedback on new products and features to ensure user safety stays a top priority.
– Track and stay current on online user safety trends.
– The role may include occasional weekend or holiday on-call coverage.

### Who You Are
– Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
– 2+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, enforcing, and/or supporting customers in complying with policies related to digital ads and/or monetization products.
– Strong understanding of policy and abuse trends in digital advertising.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to improve workflows and turn feedback into action.
– Excellent program management skills, with a proven ability to lead multiple projects at once across time zones.
– A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
– A proactive, resilient self-starter who is passionate about keeping our community safe.
– Experience managing complex escalations and communicating with leadership during crisis situations.

### Where You’ll Be
– You can work anywhere within the United States region as long as we have an approved work location for you.
– This team collaborates primarily in the EST time zone.

The U.S. base pay range for this position is $82,653 to $118,075, plus equity. Benefits include health insurance, six months paid parental leave, a 401(k) plan, a monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. Ranges may change in the future.
