Sell what you love. For us—and millions of users around the world—Spotify is that. Join the Sales team and you’ll build the relationships that grow our business in existing markets and beyond. We don’t just sell creative solutions to clients and partners; we help shape them by applying our expertise in ad products, sales channels, and the industry to influence how people experience music and podcasts.
We’re looking for an outstanding Associate Client Partner to join our Emerging and Scaled Sales team, a fast-growing part of Spotify’s advertising sales organization. We want someone who genuinely loves our product and feels energized to connect with our clients every day. This role includes strategic planning, deep product knowledge, compelling storytelling, and clear client communication.
You should be confident while staying humble. You work hard, and you also value a healthy work-life balance. Your impact will reach both Spotify advertisers and users, shaping how the world experiences Spotify—so integrity, speed, and passion are essential.
What you’ll do:
– Client strategy: Use consultative selling to educate and inspire clients to use Spotify to meet their business goals.
– Business development: Proactively find and engage customer relationships across verticals and industries to build future pipelines.
– Sales propositions: Create and coordinate sales proposals and practices for client interactions, sales, and services. Stay current with platform and ad product innovations using key data, historical insights, and relevant research.
– Sales targets: Own advertising revenue goals and apply an entrepreneurial mindset to drive growth.
– Strategic insight and reporting: Produce strategic insights and basic performance reporting for your market or vertical; analyze campaign results and recommend improvements.
– Product expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of Spotify products and updates, and use that knowledge to identify cross-selling opportunities aligned with customer goals.
– Pipeline development: Manage a high volume of complex conversations, using tools to prioritize activities and engagements.
– Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to deliver holistic strategies; support platform maintenance and efficiency as needed.
Who you are:
– Knowledgeable: 4+ years of experience managing a sales pipeline and driving revenue in a digital advertising technology environment. Audio advertising experience is preferred.
– Organized and self-directed: You can handle shifting priorities in a low-distraction environment.
– Clear communicator: You concisely share stakeholders’ needs and your own with others.
– Self-driven: You want to be great and motivated by improving your own best results more than simply leading the team.
– Ambitious: You’re eager to exceed targets.
– Team-oriented: You’re excited to learn from peers and share your strengths and success stories to help others; you celebrate others’ wins as your own.
Where you’ll be:
– Based in Toronto.
– We offer flexibility to work where you do best. There will be some in-person meetings, but you’ll still have the option to work from home. We ask that you visit the Toronto office 2–3 times per week.
Compensation and benefits:
The Canada base salary range is $67,162–$95,946, plus equity, plus bonus or commission. Benefits include extended health and dental coverage, retirement savings plans, a monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, and other benefits aligned with Canadian employment standards. These may change in the future.
