Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Accounts Payable oversees the entire accounts payable function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing while driving improvements in efficiency, automation, and internal controls. This role is accountable for developing a high-performing AP team, enhancing vendor relationships, and modernizing processes to support growth and strengthen financial integrity. Working closely with Finance, Procurement, and Operations, the Senior Manager plays a key role in month-end close, audit readiness, and aligning AP operations with the company’s financial strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounts payable team
• Set performance objectives and track productivity
• Promote accountability and continuous improvement

Accounts Payable Operations
• Manage all AP activities including invoice processing, approvals, and payments
• Ensure vendor invoices are paid accurately and on time
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve escalated issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Oversee company travel and purchasing card programs
• Manage the relationship with Concur and the expense reporting process

Process Improvement and Automation
• Identify and execute process enhancements to improve efficiency
• Lead automation initiatives such as invoice scanning and ERP improvements
• Streamline workflows and minimize manual tasks

Reporting and Analysis
• Produce reports for senior leadership as needed
• Review trends and recommend operational improvements

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with accounting, finance, and operations teams
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Ensure AP processes align with broader financial goals

Desired Credentials
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills

• Strong collaboration skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

Compensation and Benefits
For this role, base pay typically ranges from $140,000 to $160,000, with the final offer dependent on factors such as location, skills, experience, and education. Total compensation may also include a discretionary annual bonus, incentive plan, or other forms of additional pay.
