Our client is a leading commercial construction and development firm based in Dallas, TX. Specializing in high-quality building projects across the region. With a reputation built on integrity, precision, and long-term client relationships, our client is seeking a seasoned financial professional to support our continued growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
    • Utilize Sage 50 to manage and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
    • Coordinate with external CPA for audits, tax filings, and year-end close.
    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
    • Support project managers with job costing, budgeting, and financial tracking.
    • Supervise and develop accounting staff (if applicable).
Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controller or senior accounting role.
    • Proficiency with Sage 50 is required.
    • Experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
