About the Role
Hands-on Senior Accountant for a U. S. -based, inventory-heavy distribution company.
This role owns operational accounting infrastructure including inventory integrity,
COGS accuracy, ERP-to-GL reconciliation, sales reconciliations, AP/AR control,
system integrations, and disciplined month-end close.
Key Responsibilities
• Own month-end close (target: by the 10th)
• Weekly ERP (Fishbowl or similar) to QuickBooks Online reconciliation
• Maintain GRNI and cutoff controls
• Build and maintain SKU-level margin reporting
• Oversee https://www.bill.com
AP workflow and ERP ® Bill ® QBO matching• Track vendor prepayments including credit card transactions
• Perform structured sales reconciliations across systems
• Maintain sales tax accuracy and reconciliation
• Improve automation and system integrations across platforms
• Reduce outsourced accounting dependency through process discipline
Success Expectations (First 90 Days)
• Close delivered by the 10th consistently
• Weekly inventory reconciliation framework operational
• Clean SKU-level margin visibility established
• Sales reconciliations documented and controlled
• Vendor prepayments tracked with rollforward schedule
• Reduced recurring accounting friction and outsourced hours
Required Experience
• 5–10 years progressive accounting experience
• Experience in inventory-heavy environment (distribution or manufacturing preferred)
• QuickBooks Online required
or similar AP automation platform required• ERP experience (Fishbowl or similar inventory system) preferred
• Comfortable working with U. S. time overlap
