The Senior Accountant role at Ro leads various accounting functions and reporting areas to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting. This role is primarily responsible for preparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations, managing third-party invoicing, and performing various month-end and annual close processes, independently resolving discrepancies, and collaborating cross-functionally on financial processes.
This is a hybrid position and is onsite two days a week in our NYC office.
What you’ll doReview and process daily accounting transactions
Manage third-party invoicing, including preparing and sending invoices, tracking collections, and maintaining accurate records of receivables
Work with cross functional partners to assist in tracking inventory transactions in ERP system and reconciling inventory records between warehouses, systems and financial reports (3-way match)
Take full ownership over a wide range of month-end and year-end accounting close procedures including, but not limited to, preparing various journal entries, updating and maintaining monthly schedules and reconciliations, and aiding in the preparation of financial statements and reporting files
Analyze monthly balance financial statement fluctuations (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) and provide detailed analysis over the respective accounts
Assist with year end audits by coordinating with external auditors on various requests including transaction detail, reconciliations and other supporting schedules while providing detailed explanations over the respective support and overall processes
Collaborate with outside firms to assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns by providing financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Experience + QualificationsUndergraduate degree in accounting
CPA preferred
2-5 years experience in public accounting
Preference for a background in auditing and / or consulting

The target base salary for this position ranges from $83,700 to $111,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
