Aponia is looking for a highly-driven and self-motivated Account Executive who will be responsible for driving sales in Big Data and Analytics within the financial industry. Must be able to identify new business opportunities, as well as expand our presence with existing and new clients.

The Account Executive will source and initiate contact with prospects, identify customer needs, and develop/present proposals for the solution. We are seeking proven high performers to over-achieve sales objectives and establish long-term relationships. We are a company of performers, with a long track record solving real challenges in unique ways using massive data sets and advanced technology with measured return. We are looking for somebody to represent us and close deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate sales process by prospecting, scheduling appointments, making initial presentation, understanding business needs, building client consensus, developing proposals, closing sales
  • Successfully lead campaigns through 1-6 month sales cycles
  • Drive revenue growth with new and existing customers
  • Manage and drive pipeline

Requirements:

  • Technology sales experience with Fortune 100
  • Proven track record of leading campaigns through every phase of the sales cycle
  • Ambitious self-starter who is able to hunt
  • Sales-level familiarity with Big Data technologies, and their business use cases
  • Able to build relationships throughout the enterprise and gather a coalition of support
  • Proposal creation, SOW preparation, and contractual agreements
  • Willing to help a startup establish itself as a major player
  • Financial Services background is a plus
  • IBM technologies background is a plus

Salary and compensation

$90,000 — $170,000/year
