At WHOOP, we aim to enhance human performance and extend healthspan. Our products help members improve their daily lives and long-term well-being by giving them deeper insight into their bodies. As a Senior Industrial Designer focused on accessories and soft goods, you will help define the future of our wearable ecosystem—creating premium, user-focused products that fit naturally into daily life while driving innovation in performance, comfort, and design.

This position requires a forward-thinking, detail-oriented designer with proven experience in accessories, textiles, and wearables. You will lead key design initiatives, mentor junior team members, and oversee the full journey from concept development to product launch for a broad range of physical products that bring the WHOOP experience to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead design across multiple accessories and soft goods projects, including performance wearables, bands, chargers, cases, travel items, packaging, and related products.
• Own the full design process from research and sketching to prototyping, refinement, and final production.
• Create user-centered solutions driven by behavior, insights, ergonomics, materials, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Apparel & Accessories, Product Marketing, Hardware, Sourcing, and Development teams to build cohesive product experiences.
• Innovate with fabrics, trims, soft constructions, and hybrid hard/soft systems, drawing on deep knowledge of sewing, lamination, molding, bonding, and scalable manufacturing.
• Mentor junior designers and help elevate the team’s creative standards and design thinking.
• Develop strong visual narratives, renderings, and presentations for alignment and executive communication.
• Work with international manufacturing partners to ensure products meet WHOOP’s standards for quality, innovation, and aesthetics.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5–8 years of industrial design experience with a strong emphasis on accessories, soft goods, or wearable technology.
• A portfolio demonstrating refined form development, user-focused design, and high-quality soft goods execution.
• Proficiency in 2D tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma) and 3D tools (SolidWorks, Keyshot, 3D printing platforms), along with AI design tools.
• Strong knowledge of performance textiles, construction methods, and soft-hard integration.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex design programs.
• Experience working with vendors and managing overseas manufacturing.
• A combination of hands-on making skills, strong design vision, and collaborative working style.
• Highly organized and comfortable in a fast-moving, growing environment.
• Based in Boston, with four days per week in the office.
