Are you a Unix/Apache/PHP Pro? Initial contract about1 month with additional projects available.

We need your help in setting up our new architecture (dedicated and virtual servers) and to shore up our existing infrastructure. A great candidate for this position will know Apache configurations like the back of their hand, understand PHP and Javascript, but feel most comfortable setting up servers, preparing them for high load and making sure they stay up. We’d expect you to know how to secure servers against malicious attack: what are the basic tactics and what should be avoided.

The ideal candidate

We are looking to contract an experienced LAMP server admin with heavy experience with Unix/Linux systems and MySQL. The ideal candidate will be familiar with all manner of Apache/PHP server configuration and have had experience handling servers with high load (with the need to optimize performance). You will work closely with our web development team to ensure architecture is configured to match our particular use case.
