We provide a SaaS for both single users and enterprises that can be used to sell services online. The heart of our SaaS is a Video-Chat room with extended collaboration tools. With our growing success we likewise face growing challenges in our server-landscape. Demands on load, reliability and availability increase. Since our Enterprise-Level Clients have a high need on security and availability, we are looking forward to introduce load-balancing / failovers across multiple data-centers / eventually extend to vendor managed infrastructures. Build, maintain, monitor and optimize an infrastructure currently based on Ubuntu 14 LTS
Manage, monitor and optimize Services on the infrastructure, especially:
Our RTP-Based VideoChat-Communications (TURN and STUN Servers / Load Balancing needed here)
Our RTMP-Based VideoChat-Communications (Red5 and Cumulus Servers/ Load Balancing needed here too)
Apache/Nginx
Dovecot/Postfix
MySQL-Servers
Jenkins
Evaluate and eventually implement modern technologies like
Docker
CloudStack
Terraform
Consul
Regularly Review, Test and Improve Deployment Strategies, Backup and Recovery Strategies, Disaster Recovery Strategies
Contribute on CI Workflows and support developers with Vagrant and rocketeer
Look for opportunities to automate and improve repetitive tasks
Plan and implement Linux server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and patches
