As a “Linux Server Administrator (m/f)” you will be working in a team ensuring that our infrastructure and systems are working efficiently. Your main responsibility will be configuring and monitoring our servers using Puppet and Icinga, resolving problems if they occur, and performing day-to-day system administration task. You’ll need to be an autonomous, accountable, proactive, and solution-oriented person, since you’ll be the first point of contact for our employees.
We deal a lot with data mining and analysis, large databases, images, search technologies, machine learning and web technologies. We code stuff that matters and reaches millions of people. Our technology stack is plain Java, MySQL, Hadoop, Spring, Eclipse and Tomcat.
Your responsibilities:
- Writing and refactoring Puppet code to configure our GNU/Linux servers
- Maintaining our GNU/Linux servers by writing Icinga/Nagios plugins
- Configuring our servers via Puppet to ensure long term stability
