Vertex Inc is currently looking for anSAP Functional Consultantto focus on the business tax process as it relates to SAP enterprise application and the implementation of Vertex’s tax technology solutions. Also requires the ability to effectively identify and deliver tax process solutions and other value-added services that contribute to Vertex’s revenue and profit objectives.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Execute on client’s statement of work (SOW). • Participate in all phases of a Vertex/ERP, SAP software implementation by adhering to Vertex’s best practice methodology. • Exercise sound judgment to manage the day to day client relationship and expectations. • Actively identify, pursue and up-sell additional services work while on-site with client. • Actively collaborates with the ERP, SAP Practice Director and Solutions Delivery Team to ensure overall customer satisfaction. • When appropriate assist consulting sales representative in developing statements of work. • Other functions may be assigned and management retains the right to add or change the duties at any time.

Education & Training:

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related discipline. • MBA and/or CPA preferred; or equivalent work experience. • ERP, Tax/Tax Technology or Tax Professional Certifications and/ or Credentials recommended.
