Senior Cloud Platform SystemsArchitect (northern NJ) (Open to Remote)
Due to growth, our Fortune 100 Media client is looking for a proven and successful candidate with a Cloud Platform Systems Architectbackground,specializing in PaaS and ability to drive innovation and develop POC’s.
You will be consulting with other technology teams to resolve and expand technical open source platforms for managed software and application integration. You must have proven experience with PaaS/web-infrastructure on open-source platforms. The position is hands on and you will be required to work with developers to establish best practices. You will also work with solutions architects on evolving business requirements while strengthening the tech stack at a large Fortune 100 Media Company. The position reports to their offices in Northern New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
Drive and influence innovation by conducting various PoC, to create new capabilities and services working closely with engineering and enterprise architecture teams.
Contribute to developing technology road maps for various open source application platforms aligned with organization goals, priorities, industry trends, technology trends and technology maturity. Typical platforms engineered for deployment are expected to be adaptable, efficient, cost effective and scalable.
Build and influence relationships with surrounding business technology leaders
“Act like an owner” of Platform As A Service (PaaS) implementation as a product. Own the future production direction of various PaaS implementation while driving maturity of various PaaS working closely with engineering and operations team.
Collaborate with cross-functional delivery team and act as a liaison for open platform team with both infrastructure teams and application team for defining solutions.
Subject matter expert for business technology teams to propose or influence architecture/solution.
Define, Publish and govern adoption of durable engineering standards and reference architectures.
Maintain high-level technical knowledge of various open source technologies to evolve product road maps.
