About the role
Jisc is building a portfolio of cloud solutions, encompassing professional and managed services and other initiatives; to assist our customers achieve their strategic objectives involving Cloud. Supporting delivery of these initiatives is Jisc’s Cloud Consulting Service.
About you
We’re looking for someone who can:
Help our customers accelerate their journey to the cloud and transform their IT. You will be expected to work with customers to perform cloud readiness assessments, define a cloud strategy and roadmap for transformation and growth, and recommend appropriate platforms. You will be able to translate their business needs into technical requirements.
Be capable of being hands on, plus advise on the migration of legacy systems to Cloud platforms. You will require technical competency and experience in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions across a range of cloud providers such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, public and private Cloud.
You will be enthusiastic about contributing to the growth and development of Jisc Cloud Services. Willing to apply your own ideas; be commercially aware and technologically competent, identifying opportunities for service enhancement.

Location
This role can bebased in London, Harwell, Bristol, or Manchester offices or home based.
This role will require traveling to customer locations within the UK: mainly Universities, Further Education Colleges, plus Research Institutes; to provide consultancy and deliver the solutions.
