The Compensation Analyst is responsible for ensuring equitable compensation at Ad Hoc, in keeping with our policies, procedures and overall compensation philosophy. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure Ad Hoc is competitive in the areas of salary and employee benefits. The Compensation Analyst is responsible for proactively protecting the integrity of Ad Hoc’s compensation structure, and ensuring fair and justifiable compensation for team members within that structure.

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for (Essential Functions):

  • The preparation and maintenance of job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensuring descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.

  • In partnership with Ad Hoc Leadership, this person will maintain, update (and create where necessary), Career Paths for each team within the organization.

  • Benchmarking jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.

  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.

  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.

  • Gathers data from market compensation surveys, using spreadsheets and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.

  • Researches employee benefits in similar industries; based on findings, recommends changes or updates to the company’s existing benefits or total rewards policies.

  • Works with insurance brokers and investment planners, the Benefits Administrator, Director of HR and the Finance Team to create competitive, cost-effective benefits packages.

  • Conducts focus groups to collect employee feedback on specific issues or topics related to compensation.

  • Partners with Recruitment, Growth, Delivery Leadership and Finance to ensure fair, market-based compensation while closely monitoring market forces, client billing requirements, and company goals.

  • Advises People Operations Leadership on applicable state and federal regulations, compensation best practices and employee retention best practices to ensure Ad Hoc’s compensation philosophy and framework remain nimble and responsive to employee and business needs.

  • Ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and, in coordination with QA Manager, align with ISO and CMMI quality standards.

  • Other duties as assigned
