Apollo Executive Search helps investors and entrepreneurs hire top level people for their ventures. We have a focus on fast growing, venture capital backed technology startups and scale-ups. We work in teams of 3-4 people, typically involving a consultant, researcher, principal and/or partner.

We specialize in C-level roles at fast-growing, innovative technology companies. These roles are typically in the area of general management, finance, strategy, commercial, technology or operations across a broad number of industries. Recent searches include:

About 2/3rds of our team is currently living in the Netherlands (across geographies), about 1/3rd is working in Thailand and Ukraine. Apollo currently does not have an office in the Netherlands and is completely organized remotely.

Our company is growing rapidly, and we are looking to expand our team with talented people equipped to independently execute searches for C-level and other key positions.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Executive Search Consultant, you will help tech startup/scaleup clients in finding and selecting the right candidates for leadership positions. You will work in close collaboration with one of the partners at Apollo, who bring in the search assignments and act as commercial leads. Most of our clients are based in the Netherlands but communicate via Zoom / phone.

Your focus will be on leadership level (mostly C-level, MT-1 or similar key positions) executive search assignments for technology startups and scaleups. Depending on your background and interested, you can focus on one or more functional areas (general mgmt., finance, technical, commercial, product) and/or industries (ecommerce, marketplace, software, deep tech, sustainability etc.).

We operate as a high end executive search agency, with exclusive and retained mandates from our clients. This allows us to invest time and energy needed to achieve a high level of professional service. Our executive search process roughly follows the following (global) steps:

  • Translate client briefing to candidate profile and search strategies
  • Work with our research team to compose a strong, thorough longlist of potential candidates. Manage research resources for optimal results
  • Reach out to potential candidates and interview them for the position
  • Provide recommendations to our clients on the most relevant candidates
  • Work with the client and selected candidates until the search is completed
In addition to executive search activities, at Apollo we also work closely together as a team to further develop and grow our company. For example, we organize 3-day offsites twice a year and operational meetings every 2 weeks, in which we, for example, go through our entire executive search process in search of possible improvements. Or brainstorm together about the most attractive segments.

Requirements
  • University degree
  • Fluent English speaking abilities
  • 7 or more years of work experience.
  • We are open to diverse backgrounds. For example, experience in consulting, executive search, other professional services, recruitment, and/or the technology domain could be very relevant for our team.
  • Professional and structured way of working
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Full time position, completely remote
  • Able to work (mostly) in Amsterdam time zone. Indication:
  • Flexible to speak to clients and candidates during Dutch working hours, particularly in the afternoon (16.00-18.00)
  • At least available 6 hours between 09:00 and 18:30
Benefits:
– Total package indication: Commensurate on experience, base and on target bonus between 55,000 -95,000 EUR a years (gross, incl. expenses, pension, potential bonus/commission)
