Are you a strong communicator and skilled troubleshooter? Do you enjoy having the autonomy to apply your experience, judgment, and problem-solving skills to tackle a wide range of challenges? Do you have an eye for detail and a genuine desire to help people reach their goals through online learning?

Great—keep reading.

We’re proud to say that we’ve built an amazing team of “unicorns” who support, inspire, and challenge one another every day, and we’re now looking for a similarly talented and like-minded colleague to join us. Each day, we’re lucky enough to wake up and build a better future for thousands of people worldwide—but we feel something is still missing. We think it might be you.

The Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) is the world’s largest online design school. Founded in 2002, we have more than 150,000 graduates and growing. We’re market leaders in online design education because our content is created by leading experts and because our focus is design. With over 1.5 million monthly visitors, we also provide top-tier design education to organizations like IBM and SAP, along with thousands of other companies.

What you will be doing

In this role, you thrive when working independently and using your sharp eye for detail. You’re a confident communicator who knows how to balance classic member support with a technical edge.

You’ll help us achieve our goal of becoming the best and most recognized design school on the planet. We’re not just saying it—we’re committed to it, and we’ve already come a long way.

You’ll go on a highly rewarding journey where you’ll make an impact by:

– Acting as an ambassador for our brand and maintaining our excellent reputation—an important responsibility, and a truly rewarding one.
– Serving as a troubleshooting and technical advocate within the team, working closely with our developers to resolve technical issues on our platform quickly.
– Corresponding with users daily across multiple channels—expanding our FAQ/self-help resources, reporting bugs and inconsistencies, and championing the member experience on our site.
– Collaborating asynchronously and effectively with other teams. You’re comfortable working on your own, finishing your part of the job even when teammates are on the other side of the world.
– Partnering with marketing and editorial teams to improve our product offerings and the platform’s user experience.
– Proactively testing and exploring ways to improve the platform, communicating and documenting what you learn to support company goals.
– Updating our internal knowledge base with precise documentation, filling in any gaps you discover along the way.

Our community is at the center of everything we do, and we invest a great deal in supporting them as effectively as possible. That’s why we’re looking for a talented, hardworking Member Support “Unicorn” who pays close attention to detail, genuinely cares about helping others, and has a natural drive for perfection.

Overall, if you’re ready to support our community—and help shape the future of education—then congratulations. You’ve found the right place.

About you

– You have at least 2 years of experience providing email-based support or a similar client-facing role.
– You enjoy working independently and ask the right questions so you can work effectively asynchronously. Working alone energizes you as much as working with others does.
– You’re a confident communicator who doesn’t hesitate to ask questions, investigate issues, and share your findings with the team.
– You have strong presentation and communication skills. In particular, you can explain complex analytical or technical concepts clearly to both non-specialists and experts in other fields.
– You think like a detective: you’re naturally curious and love to dive into workflows and data proactively to uncover insights or differences that others may not have noticed yet.
– You’re an enthusiastic problem solver and approach tasks in an analytical, structured, and solution-focused way.
– You’re self-motivated and reliable, with strong planning skills, and you deliver your work within deadlines.

What we can offer

– A full-time, fully remote role with the world’s largest online design school.
– Regular video-based contact with colleagues, plus the chance to meet them during team trips 1–2 times per year in great locations.
– The opportunity to impact the lives of tens of thousands of designers around the world and make their learning journeys smoother.
– The chance to strengthen your collaboration and communication skills across departments and time zones to deliver outstanding results.
