Data Scientist will contribute to PIL’s growth strategy, product, data & execution. The position will work directly with the core team & will be responsible for leading data related activities in the company.
Key Elements of the Position: • Function as a member of the core team • Develop data strategy & definition for existing product • Lead data activities in aggregating & shaping huge amounts of data • Lead data quality assurance activities • Lead data testing activities • Work with world class universities & other partners • Build a data team within the company
Ideal Qualifications: • Senior data professional who has data management & engineering experience • Practical application of technical skills that have helped solve a “real-world” problem & can demonstrate their role leading the process • You will have advanced experience in disciplines such as experimental design, analytics over vast sets of structured & unstructured data, autonomic systems, static & real-time data, creation & use of metadata • Strong mathematical foundations & rigorous methodology • Knowledge & experience manipulating data from GIS perspective • Experience with the tools used for querying, preprocessing, and statistical analysis
