Description
About Reserv
Reserv is an insurtech company that builds and incubates advanced AI and automation technology to make claims faster, more efficient, and easier. Founded by insurance industry veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and started operations in May 2022. Our focus is on automating highly manual tasks to solve long-standing claims challenges and to raise the standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters.
We have ambitious (but achievable!) goals and are looking for people who can thrive in a constantly evolving environment. If building a leading TPA and helping address enduring problems in claims sounds exciting, we’d love to meet you.
About the role
As a Quality Assurance Analyst I, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of claims processing by implementing and managing quality assurance processes and procedures. You will analyze claims data, spot emerging patterns and gaps in current workflows, and use that insight to improve the overall claims process. A Reserv QA Analyst understands that quality assurance is not meant to be punitive—it’s a chance to support growth and drive continuous process improvement.
This role requires someone detail-oriented, analytical, and operations-minded to help ensure the highest level of quality and service for our clients.
Who you are
Highly motivated and growth-focused—you’re excited by the opportunity to build a tech-driven claims organization.
A QA professional who genuinely cares about customers and their experience.
Empathetic—you show patience and understanding with everyone you work with.
A strong sense of urgency at all times (without meaning you work nonstop).
Creative—you question existing assumptions and look for ways to use technology to rethink the QA process.
Curious—you want to understand the full context so you can make the right decisions early and act decisively when it matters.
Not committed to the status quo—you don’t just wish things were different; you take action to improve them.
Clear communicator (we’d love to hear what communication means to you).
And yes—did we mention a sense of humor? Claims are challenging enough as it is.
What we need
We’re looking for you to handle the key responsibilities of the role:
Conduct audits and reviews of claims to ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and procedures—verifying that payments were made correctly and according to the appropriate plans and policies.
Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to enhance the overall claims process.
Maintain relationships with clients’ audit teams—supporting claims functions during audits and managing action items.
Create reports and analyses on claims quality, including trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement; share findings with Claims stakeholders and identify ways to increase the use of data to detect trends.
Identify and analyze potential risks and fraud within the claims process.
Help develop training materials, documentation, quick reference guides, and support training sessions for the claims team.
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to claims quality assurance.
Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (not having one won’t prevent you from applying if you meet the other requirements).
4 years of experience in claims quality assurance or a related field.
Prior experience as a claims adjuster is preferred.
Experience with claims and unfair practices act statutory compliance is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong familiarity with industry best practices, along with the ability to think critically about doing things in simpler, better ways.
Experience with data analytics tools.
Insurance industry experience preferred.
Benefits
Generous health insurance package with nationwide coverage, including vision and dental.
401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
Competitive paid time off (PTO)—we want employees to stay healthy, happy, and energized.
Generous family leave policy.
Work from anywhere to support work-life balance, plus frequent, regular company retreats to strengthen team connection, reinforce culture, and have fun.
An Apple laptop, a large second monitor, and other tools that improve quality of life. Technology should make your work easier—not harder.
