The Head of Product oversees the full operations of a business unit or product, with broad responsibilities covering strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and overall leadership. The role is critical for aligning strategy and fostering collaboration with partners across all functional teams. It manages the overall operations and strategic direction of the departments under its leadership—setting vision and long-term goals, making high-level decisions that may affect the entire organization, and providing visionary leadership to drive growth and profitability. This includes managing the budgeting process and financial performance and making data-driven decisions to optimize revenue and control costs.
Note: This is a US-based role, with preferred background or knowledge of US healthcare.
What you’ll be doing:
– Own Predict end-to-end as a business: define strategy, roadmap, execution, and outcomes, making it a core driver of Sword’s AI Care platform and cost-trend reduction.
– Run Predict’s operating system: set goals and KPIs, lead planning cycles, and establish a strong execution rhythm (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
– Drive Predict’s P&L: own budget, forecasting, resourcing, and ROI trade-offs to maximize member and client impact.
– Build and scale the department: lead two pods and ensure clear accountability, speed, and delivery quality.
– Expand data access at scale: unlock and operationalize claims, prior authorization, Rx, and real-time feeds through partnerships with Payor, ExO, HECI, Sales, Legal, Security, and Data.
– Advance Predict’s intelligence layer: guide AI/ML, data engineering, and product to improve model accuracy, real-time triggers, and targeting across cost drivers.
– Drive engagement with Growth: improve conversion and downstream outcomes by optimizing multi-channel journeys and experimentation.
– Lead cross-functionally: align Product, Clinical, Ops, Growth, CS, and Commercial to embed Predict into platform strategy and client delivery.
– Act as a visible leader: communicate clearly, unblock teams quickly, and make high-quality decisions with strong accountability.
What you need to have:
– 8+ years of leadership experience across product, strategy, operations, or general management in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
– Proven end-to-end ownership: delivering outcomes from strategy through execution, leading cross-functional teams, and producing measurable business impact.
– Strong financial and operational skills: forecasting, budgeting, KPI design, and performance management.
– Highly analytical and data-driven: translating insights from dashboards and BI tools into clear priorities and actions.
– Experience building and scaling teams: strong people leadership with a high bar for talent and culture.
– Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence: aligning executives and driving decisions without direct authority.
– Comfort operating in ambiguity: creating clarity, structure, and momentum in complex environments.
– Experience delivering complex products or programs: working with enterprise clients, external partners, and data integrations.
– Experience with AI-first platforms: including agents, orchestration systems, recommendations, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
– Experience within healthcare ecosystems: including benefits, payers, care navigation, or cost-containment/utilization management.
What we’d love to see:
– Familiarity with healthcare data flows—claims, prior authorization, and Rx data—and experience driving enterprise adoption of data integrations.
– Strong intuition for member trust and experience design, especially during sensitive moments such as exclusions, escalations, poor outcomes, and re-engagement.
– A track record of building growth engines by combining personalization, trigger-based outreach, and multi-channel lifecycle strategies.
– Demonstrated ability to build 0→1 initiatives and scale them into durable operating models.
– An entrepreneurial, owner mindset: accountable for outcomes, owning the metrics, and seeing work through to completion.
To help you solve a big human problem, we offer:
– A stimulating, fast-paced environment with plenty of room for creativity.
– A bright future at a promising high-tech startup.
– Career development and growth, with a competitive salary.
– The chance to work with a talented team and deliver real value through an innovative solution that could change the future of healthcare.
