We’re seeking a detail-oriented AP Specialist to support a centralized procure-to-pay (P2P) operation across multiple entities. This role is responsible for accurate invoice processing, correct coding and allocations, and timely assistance with the monthly close.
The AP Specialist works closely with the AP Lead, Accounting, and FP&A to ensure invoices are properly allocated, accrued, and reflected against budget within P2P systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Process vendor invoices and employee expenses accurately and on time.
- Ensure invoices are correctly coded to departments, cost centers, and accounts.
- Check that invoice documentation and approvals are complete.
- Support AP cutoffs and month-end close activities.
- Help prepare AP accruals in coordination with the AP Lead and FP&A.
- Support budget alignment by posting invoices to the correct budget lines in P2P systems.
- Maintain accurate vendor master data.
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries.
- Support AP process improvements and automation initiatives.
What you need to have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of accounts payable or accounting operations experience.
- Strong attention to detail and process discipline.
- Knowledge of VAT concepts, ideally with exposure to Portuguese VAT.
- Comfort working with allocations, cost centers, and budgets.
- Ability to work within month-end deadlines.
- A team-oriented, proactive mindset.
