Meet Upside:
We created Upside to transform in-store commerce. Our technology applies the sophistication of online retail—profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality—to deliver more value to customers on their everyday purchases and to help brick-and-mortar businesses attract new, profitable customers. We’ve helped millions of users earn 2 to 3 times more cashback than any other product, and hundreds of thousands of physical retailers generate measurable profit. Each year, billions of dollars in commerce flow through the Upside platform, and this value is reinvested into our retailer partners, the consumers they serve, and key sustainability initiatives.
The Impact You’ll Make:
As a Senior Director of Lifecycle Marketing, you’ll build Lifecycle Marketing and CRM strategies to onboard new Upside users and increase LTV through deeper engagement, satisfaction, and retention. You’ll report to our VP of Growth Marketing.
– Team Leadership: Lead and grow a CRM and Lifecycle Marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, fresh ideas, and continuous improvement.
– Strategy Development: Create effective CRM and Lifecycle Marketing strategies aligned with Upside’s multi-vertical goals, including product education, adoption, engagement, loyalty, and referrals. Maintain alignment across quarterly roadmaps to ensure successful delivery, support channel growth, and enable product launches.
– Impactful Partnerships: Build strong relationships and collaborate across Acquisition, Brand, Product, Research, Data, and other key teams to drive CRM growth. Partner with Product to incorporate lifecycle messaging into new feature releases, and work with Data to develop advanced segmentation models that improve campaign performance.
– Performance Ownership: Define clear metrics to measure campaign efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. Share results and learnings with the Consumer Marketing team, using insights to improve performance and uncover broader growth opportunities across engagement (e.g., open and click-through rates), churn reduction, referral growth, and direct revenue attribution.
– Consumer Insights: Use consumer data and behavior to spot trends and opportunities for advanced segmentation and highly relevant messaging that resonates with a diverse audience.
– Campaign Oversight: Ensure successful execution of multi-channel lifecycle campaigns that consistently engage consumers and drive growth across email, in-app messaging, push notifications, and other touchpoints.
– Technical Innovation & AI/ML Integration: Stay current on CRM technology updates and standardize processes while bringing new ideas to life. Identify and implement automation opportunities and integrate AI/ML into experimentation, applying your expertise to improve marketing results—such as predictive analytics for churn or personalized content recommendations.
