Key Responsibilities
1. Planning, Field Supervision & Execution
Manage the project from initial planning and estimating through completion, fostering strong relationships with clients, architects, and interior designers.
Manage six-month to two-year builds and renovations including day to day site operations, ensuring smooth workflow, on time, on budget, and high productivity.
Enforce adherence to project drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
2. Communication & Coordination
Establish strong working communication with clients, and everyone on the team of architects and interior designers so everyone stays aligned on plans, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field labor. Communicate scheduling conflicts and adjustments.
Ensure project reports and weekly updates are provided to the President to keep him informed of all company projects and progress.
3. Scheduling & Job Cost Reporting, Budget Management
Develop and maintain the construction schedule.
Monitor daily and weekly progress and implement adjustments to stay on track including change orders when necessary.
Ensure timely receipt of subcontractor and vendor invoices so client is billed appropriately at the end of every month. Track variances, change orders, and client approvals/decisions.
4. Risk Management & Problem Solving
Identify potential project issues, delays or client challenges and promptly escalate them to the President.
Collaborate with the Superintendent Team to leverage best practices and develop practical solutions to address challenges as they arise.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or GED required; Education in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in custom home construction, including 2+ years in a leadership role in the field and operations is preferred. Less experience with a driven, proactive attitude will be strongly considered.
Experience working on projects in the $2M-$10MM range is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365/Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
