Accepted Locations:
We are currently considering applicants from the US, Canada, and most countries in Latin America and Europe, along with select countries in Africa and Asia. For the complete list of eligible locations, please refer to the link provided. This role is fully remote.

Loom Video:
Our Founder and CEO, Gabe Greenberg, has recorded a detailed Loom video that we highly recommend watching. You can view it through the provided link.

Overview:
You will join a specialized annotation team that creates training data for some of the world’s most advanced AI systems. No prior AI experience is required. This is an opportunity to work with a major organization in the AI and large language model space. We are looking for motivated future developers interested in helping train AI models to generate better code. The work typically involves tackling discrete, varied tasks that require interacting with these models as they improve their coding abilities.

What Will I Be Doing:
– Assessing AI‑generated code and providing clear, human-readable explanations of your reasoning. You will not be writing code.
– This position is entirely RLHF-focused and is not a traditional software engineering job. Strong attention to detail, the ability to read documentation carefully, and the capability to fully explain your logic when comparing code samples are key.

Pay Rate:
– US-based workers: 30 USD per hour.
– Non-US workers: 20 USD per hour in most countries (see the provided link for the full breakdown).
– After completing this Tier 2 project, you may become eligible for Tier 3 roles, which offer higher pay: 50 USD per hour for US-based developers and 35 USD per hour in most other countries (full details available via link).
– The expectation is a minimum of 15 hours per week, with no maximum. Many engineers work between 20–40 hours weekly, and some exceed 40 hours. You can work as much as you choose. Payments are issued weekly and based on the hours you work on the platform.

Contract Length:
– The contract is long term with no set end date.
– You may end the contract at any time. We hope for a six‑month commitment, but if the role is not a good fit once you begin, we completely understand.

Flexible Schedules:
You must work at least 15 hours per week, with the option to exceed 40 hours. Developers create their own schedules. If you want a long break during the day, that’s fine. Compensation is tied to the time spent on the platform completing coding exercises, not self‑reported hours.

Interview Process:
1. Submit your application through the Ashby form.
2. If you seem like a strong match, you’ll receive an asynchronous video interview with two questions (about four minutes total).
3. Complete a 35‑minute live technical interview with the G2i technical team. A solid performance results in an offer. We conduct these interviews on the company’s behalf.
4. Join a group call where we answer additional questions about the role and assist with signing G2i’s developer terms of service.
5. We coordinate with the company to finalize your onboarding.

Required Qualifications:
– At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
– Full fluency in English.
– Strong ability to clearly and engagingly explain complex technical ideas.
– Excellent attention to detail and consistency in writing.
