Project Overview:
We are looking for native Japanese speakers currently living in Japan to participate in an advanced AI localization project. Your task will be to evaluate translated video titles and subtitles from a user’s point of view, helping to enhance the performance of real-time translation models. Your feedback will play a key role in improving machine translation technology and expanding high-quality evaluation datasets.
This opportunity is ideal for linguists, translators, and language experts interested in contributing to the future of AI-powered language tools.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assess machine-translated video content for naturalness, accuracy, and relevance.
* Provide feedback to help improve translation models.
* Work with our team to enhance the real-time translation experience.

Requirements:
* Native Japanese speaker residing in Japan
* Proficient in English (training and materials provided in English)
* Bachelor’s degree or higher
* Translation experience preferred
* Previous Appen experience is beneficial
* Available between 9 AM and 6 PM local time
* Stable internet connection and suitable device for remote work
* Completion of a short onboarding survey is required before receiving an invitation

Project Duration:

* Daily Work Hours: 6 to 8 hours

Compensation:
* Training period: 1 to 3 days (qualification required to continue)
* Hourly pay based on actual working hours after qualification
* $15 per hour
