The Renovation Project Consultant is a key member of RenoFi’s operations team. This position involves reviewing residential construction estimates and related documents, then preparing a feasibility report. The ideal candidate has experience assessing residential renovation contracts, estimates, and plans, and can quickly and accurately verify the information provided. This role is best suited for someone who is currently or was recently a General Contractor, HUD Consultant, or construction consultant.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
• Review various residential construction documents and determine whether the essential elements for a successful project—such as budget, timeline, and accuracy—are reasonable, even when documentation is less than ideal.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and complete assigned tasks within defined timeframes.
• Take responsibility for the accuracy of each project analysis and ensure each report is precise.
• Deliver completed reports within established deadlines.
• Partner with the Head of Mortgage Lending Operations to refine best practices and minimum submission standards for feasibility analysis.
• Represent and advocate for RenoFi within the General Contractor community.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• 5 years of experience reviewing construction contracts.
• 5 years of experience evaluating plans, specs, floor plans, renderings, and itemized breakdowns, with the ability to verify cost and timeline accuracy.
• 5 years of experience as a General Contractor or equivalent role.
• Access to or a subscription for construction estimating software.
