Role Purpose:
This role is central to the Merchandising team, assisting the Merchandiser in ensuring fans have access to high-quality fanwear at the right time and price, with a strong focus on stock control and driving sales and profit.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to departmental strategies that align with company objectives
• Support financial planning by reviewing past performance, analyzing trends, and creating forecasts
• Manage key WSSI inputs such as intake and markdowns
• Recommend promotions using analysis and scenario planning, and conduct post-event reviews
• Provide continuous trading analysis to highlight risks and opportunities
• Oversee order management and intake processes to meet launch and stock goals
• Collaborate with the Branch Merchandiser to optimize retail and event stock levels
• Recommend and evaluate markdowns and promotional activity
• Work with suppliers to maintain delivery schedules and critical path timelines
• Coach and support the Merchandise Assistant in daily tasks
• Perform additional duties as needed to support business needs
• Work additional hours when required, including weekends or late nights during events or peak periods
Knowledge & Experience:
• Prior experience in a fast-paced retail environment with strong merchandising expertise
• People management experience is preferred
• Familiarity with:
– Product setup
– Order management
– Critical path and delivery scheduling
– Promotion and markdown planning
– WSSI processes
– Allocation and replenishment
