Marigold Health is seeking a creative recovery coach to support individuals on their journey toward wellness and reduced substance use through a new model of technology-enhanced peer support. This is a full-time position that requires evening and weekend availability, typically Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

Marigold Health’s mission is to ensure that anyone living with a mental health or substance use challenge has a place where they feel truly heard.

Our work centers on offering evidence-based, virtual peer support to people pursuing recovery or aiming to reduce harm from substance use.

We’ve developed an innovative program that enhances peer support with technology, from automated, interactive outreach to digital, asynchronous group conversations. Through Marigold’s mobile app, individuals in recovery can access multiple tools to strengthen their recovery capital and expand their support networks.

What You’ll Do
• Connect with a group of members through scheduled phone or video calls, text messages, digital support groups, and wellness planning
• Create detailed wellness plans with members and their care teams using evidence-based screening tools
• Contribute a peer-informed viewpoint to the development of new digital interventions, technology features, and trainings
• Record your work in our systems following Marigold’s guidelines and industry standards
• Use your lived experience with mental health and/or addiction to support those seeking or maintaining recovery

What You Have
• At least one year of experience as a Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach
• Certification in Massachusetts as an Addiction Recovery Coach
• Reliable internet access in a private work setting (equipment such as a laptop is provided)
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours
• Confidence using a smartphone, computer, and tools like Microsoft Office
• Ability to document member interactions in an electronic system
• Willingness to share personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use
• Capacity to work independently while knowing when to ask for guidance
• Proven experience creating wellness plans or recovery goals
• Ability to adapt and prioritize based on member needs
• Experience providing digital peer support (including on social media) is a strong advantage
• Spanish fluency is a strong plus

Benefits and Perks
• Your voice matters: Your perspective as a peer is essential, and you’ll help shape a new technology-based program from the ground up
• Remote work flexibility, with provided laptop and cell phone
• Ongoing learning through regular trainings and educational sessions
• A fun, supportive environment with shared community activities
• Full-time benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, and a mental health stipend
• Competitive salary between $45,000 and $52,000
• Monthly bonus opportunities based on performance
