Overview

We are seeking a native or Singapore-based Tamil translator to translate approximately 1,000 English prompts into Tamil. This is a short-term engagement (up to 2 days of work) and will require one resource only. The prompts are already written in Singaporean English and do not require localization. The focus is on accurate, high-quality translation while preserving the original intent and tone.

Please note that we need immediate availability to work on this project (final delivery is due on February 5th)

Hourly rate: 28 USD

Location: Remote in Singapore (only available for candidates residing in Singapore)

Responsibilities

• Translate ~1,000 prompts from English to Tamil
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, clarity, and natural Tamil usage
• Maintain consistency in terminology and style across all prompts
• Adhere to project timelines due to urgency

Required Qualifications

• Native Tamil speaker
• Strong English proficiency
• Based in Singapore, or have lived in Singapore for 5+ years
• Deep familiarity with Singaporean English and local cultural context
• Proven experience in translation, preferably prompt, content, or linguistic data translation

• No localization or cultural adaptation is required — prompts are already in-locale
