We are looking for an experienced, Senior Headless Shopify Engineer who has worked on cross-functional teams to join our distributed team. Agency experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of solutions for our headless architecture and customize based on the requirements of the project
- Consult during technical requirements gathering and prototype and research to be able to provide estimates
- Create tech specs and work with PMs to coordinate executing backlogs of work with other developers.
- Provide guidance and training to new members joining the team
Skills
- Expertise with Shopify, its APIs and app ecosystem
- Expertise with Javascript, including NodeJS
- Expertise with front-end development including HTML5/CSS3/Javascript
- Expert knowledge developing cross platform/browser ( Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) for the web
- Familiarity with and adherence to web standards and best practices for performance and accessibility ( WCAG) and can build according to spec
- Experience working with source/version control platforms ( Git)
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Proven ability to manage large scale technology projects successfully (Lead Teams of 3+ developers)
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong communication skills (both in person and in writing) while interacting with individuals with a range of technical understanding
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
